Red, mainly attractive margins, slightly cut into at top right corner, tied by c.d.s. on registered cover front from Mexico City to Lagos, which contained lottery tickets intended for sale in that small destination town, dated November 9, 1856 and carried at single rate. A very scarce example of registered mail, as the front, signed by the addressee to confirm receipt, was required to be destroyed by the post office after two years. Scott 4.,
