The Unique 1 Cent Strip of Four on Cover from Berbice

1853 (11 Aug.) small size envelope (119x 68mm) from Berbice to Georgetown, bearing 1c. black on magenta strip of four (Types I-II-I-II), originating from the upper left corner of the sheet, roughly cut into at lower and right side, each cancelled by Berbice double-arc d.s.; the reverse with despatch and arrival (12.8) d.s. Some expected faults including surface disturbance and sheet margin faulty at top, not detracting from the importance of this rarity. The unique cover from Berbice exhibiting the largest multiple of this stamp and this issue, with additionally the cover sold in Greenwood British Guiana part I, and two strips of four and two blocks of four recorded in used condition off cover.
