12c. black on blue, Townsend Type A (Robson Lowe Type B), initialled "E.D.W.", cut square with virtually complete outer frameline (barely touched at left), cancelled by Demerara double-arc d.s. for Mar 1851. Slight thinning at top due to hinge removal, this being a fault usually found and not detracting from the overall appearance. Rare and most desirable. S.G. 5I, £35,000. Photo
