A miscellany of items which includes 1887 document from the Bechuanaland Border Police to recruit native Basutos with Conditions of Service; 1887 Administrator's Office Acknowledgement of receipt of a treaty between varying tribes; 1893 Bechuanaland Newspaper; 1893 and 1894 Telegraph forms used: 1890-91 proof for 1d. Revenue embossed stamp in orange; 1901 Mashonaland 1½d. card from a soldier of the Bechuanaland Rifles at Mafeking; 1902 "On Active Service" stampless cover from De Beers Halt to Cardiff with Windsorton Station c.d.s. and triangular censor handstamp; a selection of postmarks with some scarce types and Rhodesia stamps cancelled including 2d. block of nine cancelled Tati Matabeleland and 2d. pair cancelled Gubulawayo (with Bechuanaland removed); G.B. K.E.VII 10c. Telegram overprinted "specimen" and East Africa K.E.VII 1r. Telegraph form fine unused. An interesting group.
