A small selection with covers cancelled "555" barred ovals with 1888 envelope to Taungs bearing a single ½d. vermilion franking and scarce thus; 1891 (29 June) envelope to Germany bearing unappropriated 1d. (3) from The Border Hotel and redirected on arrival; 1894 (3 July) envelope to Mafeking bearing 1888 ½d. vermilion (4) with code "C" despatch c.d.s. alongside; also a group of adhesives showing different Vryburg cancellations
