ANG .' FRA .' ET • HIB .' REGINA •, crowned bust left, rev. (m.m.) : SCVTVM • FIDEI • PROTEGET • EAM • pellet stops, colon before SCVTVM, crowned shield of arms, E-R at sides, 11.088g [171.11grns], 11h, m.m. 2 (Schneider I, 806; North 2008; S.2539), some brightness and with overt doubling to reverse shield resulting in softly struck hair, nevertheless a beautifully 'fresh' strike with appealing honey-orange tone in recesses, the devices bolder than very fine, the peripheries extremely fine, the mintmark excessively rare being the last of Gloriana's fêted reign, in NGC Black 'Carrington' holder, graded AU58 (Cert. #8534362-013)
