REGINA (m.m.), Queen seated on ornamented throne with very fine latice work and pellet backing, holding orb and sceptre, flanked by pillars decorated with annulets and double pellets, Portcullis below atop ornate tressure through which it and only her crown breaks, rev. (m.m.) A • DNO .' FACTV .' EST •' ISTVD ET • EST • MIRAB •' IN • OCVLIS • NRS', Royal Shield set atop Tudor Rose, spandrels plain, 15.286g [235.89grns], 8h, m.m. hand (AHH Virtual 76 this coin; Schneider I, 782; North 2003; S.2529), a trace of die clashing to proudest features, otherwise a delightful full round specimen, with hints of reddish-orange tone, a pleasing very fine, a very rare mint mark for the issue, in NGC Black 'Carrington' holder, graded AU55+ (Cert. #8534362-010)
