(x) NGC AU | Anglo-Gallic, Edward the Black Prince (1362-1372), Leopard d'Or, + ED : P'mO : GnS : REGIS : ANGLIE : PnCEPS : AQITAnIE •, crowned lion walking left, within tressure of eleven arcs, pierced quatrefoils in spandrels and on cusps, beaded circles and legend surrounding, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding with double pierced quatrefoil stops, i.m. cross pattée, rev. + XP'C : VInCIT : XP'C : REGNAT : XP'C : IMPERAT., six pellets in central compartment of floreated ornamental cross, lions over pierced quatrefoils in angles, all within cartouche, voided quatrefoils in spandrels, 3.472g [53.58grns], 3h, m.m. cross pattée (Elias 140; cf. Schneider III, 31; AGC 150 dies 2/c; S.8121), speckles of oxidation in legends, otherwise uniformly and boldly struck, especially to Leopard, on a full round flan, a pleasingly good very fine, in NGC Black 'Carrington' holder, graded Almost Uncirculated (Cert. #8536700-017)
