DEI : GRAC : REX : AnGL : D, double saltire stops, Royal Shield quartered with the Arms of France and England, all within a double tressure of eight arches, annulets on cusps, trefoils in spandrels, rev. + EXALTABITVR : In : GLORIA :, double saltire stops, pellet in centre of ornate cross potent with lys terminals, annulets within each inner angle, lion within each outer angle, pellets in spandrels, 1.900g [29.34gns], 4h, i.m. cross pattée (Schneider I, 69; North 1224(iii); S.1501), struck with rusty dies, otherwise lightly toned on a full flan, a pleasing very fine, in NGC 'Carrington' holder, sympathetically graded AU58 (Cert. #8534366-006)
