(x) NGC PF62 | Victoria (1837-1901), Proof Crown, 1839, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, young diademed head left, with two ornate fillets, raised W. WYON R.A. on truncation, rev. BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID : DEF : crowned shield in wreath, national emblems entwined below, edge plain, 28.134g, 5h (L&S 38; ESC 279; Bull 2560; S.3882), pretty charcoal-gray uniform cabinet tone with arresting colourful tones to peripheries, a pleasingly good extremely fine, and the nicest to be seen in these rooms for at least a decade, and especially as struck in the unusual 'coin alignment' typically associated with 'original' strikings, in NGC Black 'Pallas' holder, conservatively graded PROOF 62 (Cert. #8534320-004)
