Charles I (1625-1649), Group E, Type 4.1, Shilling, 1638-1639, Tower (under King), fifth 'Aberystwyth' crowned bust left, wearing falling lace collar, with rounded shoulder, value behind, rev. square-topped shield over short cross moline, 5.95g, 9h, m.m. anchor (North 2230; S.2795), soft in parts and double-struck to the portrait, otherwise with a pleasing tone, very fine; another, Group F, Type 4.4, Shilling, 1639, Tower (under King), sixth large 'Briot's' bust left, value behind, rev. square-topped shield over short cross moline, 6.33g, 10h, m.m. triangle (North 2231; S.2799), some raggedness to the edge, lustrous and a pleasing portrait, very fine; another, Group F, Type 4.4, Shilling, 1641-1643, Tower (under King), sixth large 'Briot's' bust left, value behind, rev. square-topped shield over short cross moline, 6.06g, 4h, m.m. triangle in circle (North 2231; S.2799), wiped and partially clipped, about very fine; and, Group D, Contemporary Forgery Shilling, 4.48g, 9h, m.m.
