George II (1727-1760), 'Old Head' Shilling, 1750, wide 0, old laureate and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned cruciform shields, seven strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 6h, 6.04g (cf ESC 1211; Bull 1732; Spink 3704), some blundering to the 5 in date, wiped and some softness to the hair, nonetheless toned and with a uniform grey tone, the reverse lustrous, good very fine / near extremely fine
