Hanoverian Shillings (3) | George I (1714-1727), South Sea Company, Shilling, 1723, first laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, SS C in angles, six strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 6h, 5.89g (ESC 1176; Bull 1586; Spink 3647), flecked, mostly flat yet with a lustrous tone, strict very fine; George II (1727-1760), LIMA Shilling, 1745, old laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, LIMA below, rev. crowned cruciform shields, plain in angles, seven strings to harp, 5.84g, 6h (ESC 1205; Bull 1724; Spink 3703), rubbed and wiped, scratch to the reverse, bolder fine; George III (1760-1820), 'Old Head' Shilling, 1758, old head left, rev. cruciform shields, with hearts, six strings to harp, 12h, 6.00g (ESC 1225; Bull 2129; Spink 3746), some softness to the higher parts of the portrait, yet residually lustrous to dark surfaces, very fine (3)
