Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Belfast (3164 Pte J. Cowling. 6th Dragoon Gds:), light contact wear, very fine

Note Cowling appears with the number 3164 and 3160 on the roll, it is not certain which is correct.

J. Cowling, also initialled W. C. Cowling, served with the 11th Hussars on the Punjab Frontier in 1897-98 (medal and clasp) before being attached to the 6th Dragoon Guards for service in South Africa. He was present there between 25 February 1900 and 31 May 1902 and is listed as also serving with No. 2 Re-mounts Company; sold together with copied research.
