Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps Transvaal, Laing's Nek (1183 Pte C. Webb. K.R.R.C.), the first rivet replaced, good very fine
Charles Henry Webb was born at Birmingham, Warwickshire in 1880 and enlisted in 1898 at Coventry. He was posted first to the 3rd Battalion in January 1899 before being transferred to the 1st Battalion in South Africa on 13 May. Serving there until 18 September 1900 when he returned to Britain, Webb was posted back to South Africa with the 3rd Battalion on 3 August 1901. He returned to Britain for the final time on 12 October 1902 where he served until 10 October 1910 before being discharged.
