One of 46 Nile 1884-85 clasps and 40 Abu Klea clasps to the Regiment.

Henry Cordon was born at Hanley, Staffordshire and was a 19-year-old clerk when he enlisted in the 16th Lancers on 28 May 1878. He was transferred to the 1st Class Army Reserve on 25 May 1886 and was later discharged on 24 May 1890.

3 officers and 43 other ranks of the 16th Lancers served in the Light Cavalry Regiment on the Nile, of whom 3 officers and 37 other ranks fought at Abu Klea.
