Gwalior Star 1843, Punniar centre (Ass Surgn R. Stevenson M. D. H M 3rd. Reg.), fitted with pin attachment which uses the standard screw fittings, silvered but with some loss to this, otherwise very fine

Robert Stevenson graduated M.D. from Edinburgh University in 1830. He became Assistant Surgeon with the 3rd Foot on 14 March 1834, then Surgeon with the 18th Foot on 2 February 1844. Stevenson returned to the 3rd Foot on 29 November 1844 and died in Edinburgh on 3 September 1851.
