Theunis Johannes Du Toit was born on 8 February 1915 and was appointed Lieutenant in the South African Tank Corps in September 1940. Advanced Captain, serving with the 5th Armoured Car Regiment as Liason Officer to the Staff in Egypt, then being put onto the Staff. Reprimanded for '...negligently handling a firearm causing wounds to Capt. Townsend in both legs' in January 1942, he was attached to the Royal Air Force in Transjordan for October 1942 and was released in August 1943; sold together with copied service record.
