Army L.S. & G.C., V.R. fitted with steel clip and straight bar suspension (John Craig, 45th Regiment Foot. 1838.), good very fine

John Craig was born at Richerton, Kilmarnock. He attested into the 6th Dragoons at Kilmarnock on 13 April 1816 and transferred to the 45th Foot on 26 October 1826 until he was discharged on 21 May 1838.

With note stating (not confirmed) 9 to Regiment 30-48 this is the 1st one and probably 1st official medal to regiment.
