A. L. Wilkes served with the Regiment in Bosnia when stationed in Goradze during 1995-96. Their tour saw several of their number taken hostage by the Serbian Forces and led to the award of a DSO, a CGC, three MCs, two MBEs and seven 'mentions' being Gazetted.
