Sidney Jopson was born in 1928 and enlisted at Liverpool on 7 January 1943 into the Loyals (Lancastrian Brigade). Sepnding his wartime service at Home he served in Palestine firstly from 27 October 1946 - 13 April 1947 and again from 15 November 1947 - 25 March 1950. Taking a Musical Course at Kneller Hall from October 1951 - October 1952 he was transferred to the Army Reserve on 20 August 1954 and Discharged on 1 April 1959.
Jobson became the landlord of the White Hart Inn in Denbighshire, North Wales but later emigrated to Western Australia in January 1974; sold together with his Regular Army Certificate of Discharge and a Pupil's Certificate from Kneller Hall dated 3 October 1952 and a photograph taken at Kneller Hall from 1952.
