(x) Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 6 clasps, Cape Colony, Paardeberg, Driefontein, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill, South Africa 1901 (68878 Dvr. H. Chamberlain. 83rd Bty., R.F.A.), slight edge bruise, very fine

Harry Chamberlain was born at Andover, Hampshire and attested in 1888. Returning to the Army having been a reservist he saw heavy action in South Africa from January 1900-September 1901 when he returned to Britain. Rejoining the army he served with the Royal Field Artillery from 12 July 1915. Wounded on 3 June 1917 Chamberlain transferred to the Labour Corps from which he was eventually discharged in 1919.
