Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Transvaal, Cape Colony, South Africa 1901 (125 Corpl: J. Humphries. Imp: Lt. Horse), good very fine

Joseph Humphries was born at Surrey in 1873 and enlisted for the Imperial Light Horse at Johannesburg on 30 November 1900. He listed two and a half years previous service with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers upon his attestation. He served with them through November 1900-1901 but later transferred to the Vryburg Town Guard; sold together with copied medal rolls and attestation paper.
