There are 99 no clasp medals issued to H.M.S. Dryad.

John Grove was born at Johnstone, Scotland on 21 July 1860 and joined the Royal Navy on 20 June 1877 as a Boy second class. He served on a variety of vessels before joining Dryad on 18 December 1883 until 10 November 1884. Grove was shore pensioned on 28 July 1888; sold together with copied research.
