(x) Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, no clasp (J. T. B. Stanbury. 2. Cap: Qr. Dk. Men. H.M.S. "Inconstant".), very fine

James T. B. Stanbury was born at Paignton, Devon on 28 June 1854 and joined the Royal Navy on 28 June 1872. He served as a 2nd Captain of the Quarter Deck Men aboard Inconstant in Egypt and Sudan. He thence served in the Yonnie Expedition 1887-88 (Medal & clasp) as a Boatswains Mate aboard the Acorn. He was finally put ashore with a pension in March 1893.
