beautiful "Purple" 100 Rials from the 2nd series of the 1944 Issues.
The front of this banknote prominently displays a portrait of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi on the right side, contributing to the historical significance of this banknote. Adjacent to this portrait, at the centre, is an image of a leopard, symbolising strength, resilience, agility, and national pride. On the back, the ancient Sasanian Bridge located in Dezful, Iran is shown. This architectural marvel boasts 13 arches constructed of large stone blocks, spanning the Dez River. Serving as a vital link along the historic Silk Road trade route, the bridge facilitated trade and travel across the region.
It's worth noting that the 2nd series 100 Rials banknote is now printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson and Co., whereas the 1st series was printed by Harrison & Sons,
