(x) Imperial Bank of Persia 20 Tomans, Teheran, 1st November 1929, serial number E/A 011207,
the front features Farsi text on a red, green, orange and purple design. A circular portrait of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar, the longest reigning Qajar monarch, is depicted wearing military uniform and a feathered fez, symbolising his role in the military and royal Persian heritage. In addition to this image, on the front, a seal stamp showcases black Farsi text and the image of a lion on an oval background. This stamp design replaced the earlier black oval background and white Farsi text and lion in 1913, likely to improve its discernability. The signatures of Vivian L Walter and James Hamish McMurray appear on either side of the seal stamp. On the back, English text reads THE IMPERIAL BANK OF PERSIA, TWENTY TOMANS. At the top, it is stated that this banknote is PAYABLE AT TEHERAN ONLY. The Farsi translation of this can be observed at the top front. Central to the back, an image of the Persian coat of arms with Kiani crown, sun, lion and sword is visible, as well as the denomination of the note on all four corners. This note bears a watermark of the Persian coat of arms with Kiani crown, sun, lion and sword,
