(x) Imperial Bank of Persia, set of front and back Colour Trial Specimen 25 Tomans, ND (1890-1923), presenting an intriguing combination of pink, purple, and soft orange tones, contrasting with the solid brown colour and guilloches of the back of the banknote. On the front, an oval portrait of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar is depicted, the longest reigning Qajar monarch from 1848 to 1896 known for his attempts at modernisation in Persia. Shah Qajar is depicted in military uniform and a feathered fez indicating his role in the military and evoking thoughts of Persian heritage and royalty. Additionally, on the left of the banknote, an oval image of the Persian coat of arms, including the Kiani crown, sun, lion, and sword is visible. The back of the banknote repeats the image of the Persian coat of arms with the Kiani crown, sun, lion, and sword, and clearly displays the denomination of 25 Tomans on all four corners of the banknote. SPECIMEN has been perforated to clearly state the type of the note,
(Pick 6cts1, 6cts2, BNB 108 for the type), in PMG holder 58 Choice About Uncirculated, small tears (1), 55 About Uncirculated, missing corner tip (1), (total 2 notes, both surpassed by only 1 note in higher grade on PMG Census) rare!
