(x) Imperial Bank of Persia, [Top Pop] set of front and back Colour Trial Specimen 3 Tomans, ND (1890-1923),
the front colour trial specimen, no date overprint, signed by Arthur F. Grundy and Joseph Rabino, presenting a blend of soft hues, incorporating light green, blushing ambrosia, and pink tones, in a harmonious way. This departure from the standard vibrant green and pink tones of the issued notes adds a distinctive charm to the design. The back colour trial specimen is printed in a deep red hue, replacing the blue colour typically seen on the issued notes. In line with the series design, the 3 Toman notes feature a slight increase in size compared to lower denominations.
Notably, this denomination is exclusive to the 1st series and was absent in the 2nd series. Like the complete 1st series, these notes were crafted by the renowned British security printing firm Bradbury, Wilkinson and Co. and exemplify excellence in currency production. Each note bears a small perforated "SPECIMEN".
