1864 "Eagles" Issue
San Luis Potosí ½r. to 4r., an assembly comprising 106 stamps from all periods, six covers (Salinas, Matehuala, Catorce, and San Luis), and one cover front. The postal history includes two covers from Salinas and one from Catorce, each bearing a 2r. Yellow stamp, one with a manuscript cancel, and one Matehuala cover featuring two 1r. Blue stamps; all in very attractive or pristine condition. The stamp display offers a good range of consignments, with all but five stamps being used. Noteworthy examples include ½r. Lilac (4) and 4r. Green (14). Numerous sub-offices are represented, including Matehuala, Tula de Tamaulipas (very rare 4r., 4th Period, consignment 170-1864, sub 52), Charcas, Venado, Cd. del Maíz, La Concepción, and El Catorce.
