Brown, 5th Period, consignment 48-1866, uncanceled with original gum, predominantly large margins all around; tiny pin hole not detracting from the appealing freshness. 300 stamps were issued from this consignment, as part of the total 2,403 issued in 1865-66 for an experimental local city mail service. Signed Bash; Calves and Holcombe certificates. Scott 18, $1,300.
