Auction: 24033 - The "KMC" Collection of Stamps and Covers of Mexico
Lot: 43
(x) Mexico
1856 Issue
Mexico District 2r. single on one cover and one cover front, with margins varying from small to touching or cut into. The cover, addressed to Puebla on May 2, 1859, is a postal fraud, as corroborated by the previously used stamp (signed Lamy). The cover front is an "Across the Lines" mail to Mascota with Guadalajara h.s. struck in transit and a "2" marking, indicating the postmaster did not recognize the stamp as valid. Scott 3.,
