Ixtlahuaca 1r. Yellow, two examples on slightly aged cover to Mexico City, with the margins touching the design at right and bottom, but the cancel being well struck for this very scarce district. In the James Mazepa sale of his collection, it was stated that this is the only cover known with a 1r. from this district, but no census is known to us; sold for $3,500 in that sale in 2000 (lot #5224). 2024 MEPSI certificate. Scott 2, NF $1,600 as singles off cover.
