1850-51 "Cottonreels"
The "Ferrary" and "Burrus" 4 Cents on Pelure Paper

4c. black on pale yellow on pelure paper, initialled "W.H.L.", cut square with circular frameline intact (just touched at top), cancelled by Berbice double-arc d.s. in 1851; colour faded though apparently clear of faults. Only sixteen examples recorded of this stamps are in private hands, of which six are cut square, with this outstandingly being one of two free of faults for this rarity of the British Empire.
