1782 The original death warrant for the hanging of Richard Kelshall, George Draper, Charles Draper and John Carter, convicted of Highway Robbery at the Assizes on 11 March 1782. The warrant is written by the Sheriff of Kent, Samuel Boys (or on his behalf) and addressed to "Thomas Watson my Goaler", ordering him to carry out the execution between 11am and 2pm on 28th March. Written on foolscap paper with a black wax seal to the left margin. Faults along the right margin with the loss of a word, not detracting. A rare item.
