1936 Two variants of the printers proofs of the "Official Souvenir Programme of the Coronation of His Majesty King Edward VIII", one with the price of "one shilling net" printed on the front cover, with blank pages in both showing the proposed layout of the Programme, together with two printer's colour proofs in gold and silver of the proposed front cover. Accompanied by a letter from King George's Jubilee Trust dated 5th November 1936 forwarding "a dummy copy of the Official Souvenir Programme" to the Mayor of Stalybridge, Chesire, suggesting that the final version be presented by the Local Authority to children under their Authority. A rare group of items. This Souvenir Programme was later adapted for the Coronation of King George VI on 12 May 1937 (5)
