1838 Collection of six unissued Admission tickets to Westminster Abbey on Coronation day in different colours, with three issued, the example in red in a different design to the others, with Westminster Abbey engraved at the top, and additional wording "Admit...To the Solemnity of the Coronation....Not transferable". Included is an uncommon bearer admission card for "One Person to the Gallery in the North Aisle of the Nave"; a Performer to the Orchestra admission card, and an attractive card to the Grand Pavilion, St. Margaret's Church Yard; and printed instructions from the Earl Marshal as to which entrance to use for specific tickets. Also a letter from Edward Porter, a judge at the Court of Chelmsford written to Sir William Woods at the College of Arms, enquiring after tickets to the forthcoming Coronation.
