1868 (15 Mar.) Pacific Union Express, Paid (Haller FP4) in ribbon design printed express company on 3c. pink on white entire (U58) with blue all-over lithograph for the Union Hotel and General Stage Office Oroville addressed to Worcester and cancelled by black grid and showing Oregon Stage co. Marysville blue despatch d.s. and arrival c.d.s. for the same day. Slightly reduced at left and with light toning, still quite fresh and fine. A very scarce cover, this company operated from Portland to Lincoln (1865 to 1867), but its markings are elusive, illustrated in Letters of Gold.
