1886-89 postal history trio including 1886 (15 Dec.) envelope ex the Sandbach correspondence "Royal Engineers, Field Force, Upper Burmah", redirected to Minboo and again to Napeh, franked at 5d. and showing, on reverse, Sea Post Office, Rangoon, Mandalay and Minboo d.s. 1887 (6 Mar.) envelope (with letter) ex the Sandbach correspondence to Wales, bearing ½a. and 1a. (4, two with stained perfs) cancelled by "r" in circle of bars (Type K1; latest recorded date) and showing, on reverse, Minboo (Type D2; latest recorded date), Rangoon, Bombay and arrival datestamps; the contents of letter, headed "Shwaygoun Nr. Minbu", include "I marched here from Koutha Nr. Poung".. 1889 (9 Sept.) envelope to Dover, bearing ½a. block of eight (four with perf faults due to being affixed at edge of envelope) and a single, all crossed by pen-stroke and cancelled by "R" in circle of bars and showing, on reverse, small "shwebandaw/b.o./taunsowingyi" c.d.s. (Type D2; the only date known) with Rangoon and Bombay datestamps alongside. Rare, only three other covers from this tiny Garrison PO have been recorded. Mixed condition, a fascinating lot for the advanced collector.
