1892-99 postal history selection (5) including Mandalay Town 1892 (11 Jan.) mourning envelope to Madras bearing ½a. (2), and 1894 (27 May) envelope (soiled) to Rangoon bearing ½a. on reverse, all tied by "mandalay-town" squared-circle d.s. (Type KD2); also two loose ½a. with earliest and latest recorded dates. Mandalay Shore 1893 (6 June) and 1894 (22 Oct.) 1a. on 1½a. stationery cards from Bhamo to Southampton, both cancelled by "shore/mandalay" (Type D4; the former the earliest recorded date). Mandalay Fort Dufferin 1899 (5 Oct.) ½a. stationery envelope registered to London, uprated with ½a. and 1a. (2), cancelled by "fort dufferin/mandalay" c.d.s. (Type D5) and showing Type R2 registration h.s.. The only recorded examples of these markings. Mixed condition.
