From Plymouth

1592 (30 May) entire letter from John Blythman to Philippo Corsini in London mentioning that a letter had arrived the previous day by "your messenger, one Italione", this letter therefore was likely returned using the same messenger and hence without postal markings;
Also 1599 (1st August) entire letter from James Bagg once Mayor of Plymouth - "Phillip Corsini merchant in gratious strett, London" with contents concerning a parcel of tin and a possible premonition of the third Spanish Armada "by reason of the exectations uppon this coaste of the enemyes of the which we have greatt news", also without postal markings. Both with minor age marks though a fine duo.

Notes: John Blythman was Mayor of Plymouth on three occasions between 1572-99. He is said to have written to the Queen with Sir Francis Drake requesting funds for building a fort at Plymouth to defend against the Spanish.
