Regiment at Loodianah, marked "By Overland via Marseilles" with despatch datestamps on reverse and light Bearing handstamp on face; a very long and detailed letter with transcription. Also 1880 (May) 2nd. Afghan War envelope from Kandahar to England bearing ½a. and 4a. cancelled by diamond of bars and showing, on reverse, despatch, Bombay and arrival (2.6) c.d.s.
