1890 (3 Oct.) incoming envelope from London addressed to "Agricultural Department" Rangoon, bearing GB 2½d. (2) cancelled by despatch c.d.s., travelled via India "sea post office" (20.10) and arrived in Rangoon (3.11), the recipient was not available and after various attempts was sent to the Dead Letter Office (26.11), then marked on the front "Try Financial Commissioner Office Rangoon", attempted a delivery (29.11) when failed sent to "rangoon deposit" (29.11), "d.l.o. rangoon" (3.12) and finally "d.l.o. bombay" (14.1.91). Envelope a little soiled as expected, a most unusual item. Photo
