George III (1760-1820), Halfcrown, 1817, Type 2, second laureate head right, rev. crowned shield in Garter, edge straight milled, 14.08g, 12h (ESC 618; Bull 2096; S.3789), a gorgeous example, beautifully balanced with mint lustre and cabinet tone, good extremely fine, with a certifiable 19th Century provenance; truly remarkable for this common type, very desirable thus!
