George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Halfcrown, 1734 SEPTIMO, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, seven strings to harp, eight hearts, upwards lettered edge, 15.02g, 6h (ESC 597; Bull 1676; S.3692), a small metal flaw on cheek and slight rub on high points, otherwise attractively lustrous and delightfully cabinet toned, about extremely fine
