George I (1714-1727), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1718, first laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, seven strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 6.01g, 5h (ESC 1165; Bull 1566; S.3645), small carbon spot on neck, otherwise cartwheel lustrous with a light cabinet tone, much as struck
