William III, Solus (1694-1702), Halfcrowns, 1697 NONO (2), laureate and draped bust right, rev four crowned large shields cruciform, eight strings to late harp, seven billets, smaller lions, downwards lettered edge, inverted Ns in ANNO, 14.39g, 6h (ESC 541; Bull 1027; S.3487), scratches both sides and a knock on the edge at 3 o'clock, otherwise about very fine; another, similar, nine strings to late harp, seven billets, larger lions, upwards lettered edge, 15.06g, 6h (ESC 541; Bull 1021; S.3487), a softer strike, with peripheral colourful tone and lustre, a pleasing very fine (2)
