William III, Solus (1694-1702), Crown, 1696 OCTAVO, third laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, with straight breast plate, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to first harp, nine billets, upwards lettered edge, 29.52g, 6h (ESC 94; Bull 1004; S.3472), struck off-centre in error with some resultant metal loss below the bust, a hint of adjustment through laurel wreath, attractively toned and lustrous, good extremely fine
