James II (1685-1688), Maundy Coins (4), including: Fourpence, 1687 over 6, laureate head left, rev. crowned mark of value (Bull 786; ESC 1862; S.3414), lightly flecked but lustrous, with a faint cabinet tone, very fine; another, Maundy Threepence, 1685, as last (ESC 1980; Bull 792; S.3415), rub to high points, otherwise a bolder fine; another, Maundy Twopence, 1687, as before (ESC 2193; Bull 806; S.3416), darkly toned but lustrous, a pleasing very fine; lastly, Maundy Penny, 1686, E over I in REX, as first (ESC -; Bull 812; S.3417), haymarked, otherwise lustrous and lightly toned, very fine (4)
