James II (1685-1688), Sixpence, 1686, first 6 over lower 6, laureate and draped bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, five strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 3.01g, 7h (Pywell-Phillips 130; Viles 3788; ESC 1525; Bull 773; S.3412), the date re-entered, and with Mint adjustment to periphery and a planchet flaw through A of IACOBVS, otherwise richly cabinet toned with residual lustrous flare in recesses, a really pleasingly bold extremely fine
